Band Of Brothers is a 10-part HBO television mini series tackling the lives of the soldiers during the second world war. It is based on the book of the same title by Stephen Edward Ambrose.

The series begins with the soldiers' training at Currahee and ultimately ends with the victory over the Japanese Empire. The series shows the experience of the different men who fought during the war so you'll see that there are episodes that only focus on one man and the role he played during that certain event. You'll see not only the victories that the men achieved but their defeats and struggles as well during the second world war. The series is based on the lives of real men so you'll see some of the characters die and some will sustain injuries. Some men though, will live and will play a vital role in the liberation of Europe.

My admiration for shows that are based on the second world will never cease and watching Band of Brothers made me love the war genre even more. I really love this show and I am very much certain that this will become a classic. Band of Brothers is 11-hours long so I am very sure that you will stay at your seat for a very long time.

Band of Brothers features an ensemble cast. The main character of the series is Major Richard Winters who is played by Damian Lewis. Major Richard Winters is the most prominent character throughout the series so expect to see a lot of Damian Lewis. I was amazed on how Damian Lewis played his role. You'll really see the horrors that Major Richard Winters faced. His men who died, the men he killed, his first retreat, and his first jump

The directors directed the series very well. You will really feel the harshness of the war. You'll enjoy with the soldiers when they achieve victories and you'll weep with them when they see their comrades fall. Band of Brothers will take you through Europe. From Normandy, Holland, England, France, Germany, and the infamous concentration camps that killed millions of Jews and ethnic minorities.

The visual effects were excellent. The props and the lighting were fantastic and I really couldn't see any flaws on the series.

I can say that Band of Brothers is the best series I have seen by far and it will always remain in my heart and my memory. This will certainly be a classic and it will continue to provide entertainment even to future generations. You will certainly love this movie especially if you are a war genre fan like me. Even though it features some violent parts I suggest that you let your kids watch. This is great for kids and adults alike.

10/10
