Title: 3 Idiots
Year: 2009
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance
Director: Rajkumar Hirani

3 Idiots is a 2009 Indian film. It holds the record for the highest grossing Bollywood film of all time in India. It has been a major success on East Asia and the United States. The film went on winning many awards such as 6 Filmfare Awards, 10 Star Screen Awards, and 16 International Indian Film Academy Awards.

The film starts 10 years in the future. Chatur, a man who wants revenge for what Rancho did to him during their college years called Raju and Farhan to show them how much his life has improved over the years. Raju and Farhan are Rancho's best friends in college. Chatur told the two that he will bring them to Rancho. Raju and Farhan agreed and went with Chatur because they have not seen Rancho for ten years now. Rancho left after their graduation and has not communicated with them till then. Along the way, the two remembered their memories with their friend all throughout college. Raju and Farhan also found out something about Rancho's true identity. The two of them must now go on a journey to uncover what really happened to their dear friend and why he ended all communications with them after college.

3 Idiots is set on modern day India and tackles about the educational system of the country. An educational system so hard that it is the main reason behind India's number 1 spot on having the highest suicidal cases in the world. The setting was fine for me. I love some places that I saw in the movie though. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw India's jaw breaking scenery. It's like seeing Europe even though you know that you're seeing a place somewhere in Asia.

The film stars Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, and Kareena Kapoor on the lead roles. I don't really know much about these actors but one thing is for sure. They did an excellent job in playing their parts and I commend them for that.

You will get to see some inventions made by ordinary Indian citizens. 3 Idiots proved furthermore that the Indian people belong to the world's brightest minds. A race built for learning and technological advancements no doubt.

3 Idiots features many comedy scenes and witty scenes which I definitely love. The romance is just right and the drama is excellent. You can really see and feel how students not only from India but students from everywhere feel during college. The pressure to study and achieve high grades take its toll on most students out there.

You will learn many lessons when you watch 3 Idiots. It is a great watch for all people. The young, the old, the married, as in everyone can watch this film and appreciate it at the same time. I like to think of 3 Idiots as the movie version of the book "The Alchemist" (I made a book review entitled The Alchemist so feel free to read it if you like.) because the movie embodies some of the lessons that the said book imparts to readers.

This certainly is the best Hindi Film that I've watched hands down. I've never been a fan of Bollywood but 3 Idiots changed my way of seeing international films. It had the same effect on me just like "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" which is a film from Thailand. 3 Idiots opened new doors for me when it comes to choosing what films to watch and it certainly opened my eyes to the different corners of the film industry.

10/10
