Tuesday, May 1, 2012

So you already have your own favicon but you have absolutely no idea how to install it on your blog. There are three major internet browsers that most internet users use in their everyday surfing. Those are Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome. There are cases where the favicon of certain blogs doesn't appear on some of the browsers. It is safe to say the each browser requires different methods in order for you to install your favicon correctly on each and every one of them.
I'll show you how to install your favicon on all three browsers. If you still don't know how to make your favicon then check my guide about Making Your Own Favicon For Blogger. If you already have your favicon at the ready then let us begin.

For Internet Explorer

  1. Go to your blogger dashboard.
  2. Go to your blog layout.
  3. Click edit on your favicon widget.
  4. Choose the favicon that you want to upload.
  5. Hit Save.
  6. Clear your browser history and cache.

For Mozilla Firefox

  1. Go to your blogger dashboard.
  2. Go to your blog layout.
  3. Click edit on your favicon widget.
  4. Choose the favicon that you want to upload.
  5. Hit Save.
  6. Clear your browser history and cache.

For Google Chrome

  1. Go to your blogger dashboard.
  2. Go to your blog template.

  6. Find <title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title>
